About the association

The Museums of Saratoga association brings Saratoga County's Museum Directors, Educators, and staff together in one organization to promote our services to our communities. Now Capital District residents, visitors, and educators have a "one-stop shopping place" to obtain information and use Saratoga County's Museums for their families, friends, and children.

Formed in 2002, the association meets regularly to pool their ideas and work to improve our visibility in our coummunities. We believe that, as a group, we can do more to promote our missions to a broader, more diverse audience by working together. Since our formation, we created and promoted a number of joint projects, including a hotel guide for area hotel and bed and breakfast front desk staff, reciprocal admissions for our volunteers, a successful media campaign to increase awareness of our organization to our communities, and established this website. In the future, we plan to create joint educational programming, work with teachers to make it easier for them to use the museums in their classrooms, and more.

Any chartered, Saratoga County museum is welcomed and actively encouraged to participate. Please contact our representative to find out more.
